Workshop for Bees
Workshops for Bees are designed to support academic success and equip students with skills needed to succeed in college, career, and life. The workshops are an eight-week curriculum based on one of the four focus areas listed below.Each series supports 50 students and every participating student receives a backpack complete with essential school supplies.
Programming
- Financial Literacy: A financial literacy 6 week course with a focus on entrepreneurship. The course covers the following topics: introduction to basic finance skills, what is entrepreneurship, develop a business plan, and work with a mentor to develop a persuasive pitch. We will provide the Professional's on finance, banking and entrepreneurship to lead this 6 week workshop.
- College & Career: Exposes students to postsecondary education options and experiences.
